That move is retroactive to Sunday, July 8. 2B Gordon Beckham was recalled from Class AAA Tacoma in a corresponding move. Additionally, RHP Nick Rumbelow and was recalled from Class AAA and OF John Andreoli was optioned to Class AAA.

Seattle Mariners RHP Felix Hernandez (arm) played catch again Friday, March 9, from a further distance than he did Tuesday, March 6. According to manager Scott Servais, Fernandez is progressing well and could throw a bullpen session soon. Hernandez is expected two to three starts during spring training to be ready for the season opener.
