Bears | Tarik Cohen poised for big things in 2018?

Tue, 10 Jul 2018 10:43:40 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen "not only has a skill set that will stimulate head coach Matt Nagy's creativity," but he also "has shown he has the mental capacity to handle a wide array of roles and responsibilities," according to Dan Wiederer of The Chicago Tribune. "He's a run threat and then he can catch the ball in space in broken formations. That's an advantage for the play callers and the play designers to be able to do some different things. We can move him around and try to get an advantage. … He's dynamic. But then he's really smart. I talk about (not) making the same mistakes twice. So far, from what we've seen, he doesn't do that," Nagy said.

Bears | Tarik Cohen moving around

Wed, 27 Jun 2018 13:33:47 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen said he lined up at multiple positions during offseason workouts in head coach Matt Nagy's offensive scheme.

Fantasy Tip: It appears like Cohen will have a solid role on offense under Nagy. He posted 723 total yards in his rookie season and has a chance to improve on his stats. He can be a flex option in fantasy leagues and will be valuable in point-per-reception leagues.

Bears | Tarik Cohen a jack of all trades

Thu, 07 Jun 2018 09:13:47 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen's versatility gives the Bears a dynamic playmaker on offense. He will be used as a running back, wide receiver and even a pass-blocker. Head coach Matt Nagy said Cohen still has a lot to learn, but he has a lot to learn because Chicago plans on using him in a variety of ways. In addition to his running back duties, Cohen said he has lined up on the outside and in the slot as a receiver and has practiced on special teams. "I feel like this is the offense for me."

Fantasy Tip: Cohen's ceiling is stinted by Jordan Howard, but the small, shifty back can do a little bit of everything. He even threw a touchdown last year as a rookie. He possesses much more allure in PPR leagues where he should be considered a low-end RB2 or high-end RB3.

Bears | Tarik Cohen must improve as blocker

Fri, 25 May 2018 21:22:44 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen could "no doubt" serve as the third-down back if he can prove to be a capable blocker, according to running backs coach Charles London.

Fantasy Tip: Cohen was able to deliver several explosive plays last year when given playing time, and if he can secure a steady role, he could be a flex option in PPR formats. Keep tabs on the situation throughout the summer.

Bears | Coach excited about Tarik Cohen

Wed, 16 May 2018 20:33:57 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen is a player that head coach Matt Nagy is excited to work with this upcoming season. "You see how he is in the meeting rooms he listens to the play and when he comes out here how serious he is and he knows how to have fun. He's a player that for me, you get giddy about," Nagy said.

Fantasy Tip: Cohen should have a solid role in the offense and will be involved in the running and passing game in 2018. He can be a No. 3 or No. 4 running back in point-per-reception leagues and a possible flex option in standard leagues.

Bears | Tarik Cohen working on receiving skills

Thu, 19 Apr 2018 07:49:32 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen has focused on improving his skills as a receiver and route running this offseason. Head coach Matt Nagy said the team plans to move him around and do different things with him.

Fantasy Tip: Cohen will be an interesting RB3 option in PPR formats, but he presents some uncertainty along with upside. Jordan Howard figures to see a large workload running the ball, which means Cohen could slip in drafts.

Bears | Tarik Cohen has added weight

Wed, 18 Apr 2018 11:23:30 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen is up to 190 pounds after bulking up this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Cohen is petite as far as NFL running backs are concerned, but he is as speedy and shifty as they come. He quickly came on to the scene in his rookie season, particularly in the passing game and on special teams. With Jordan Howard hogging most of the carries in Chicago, Cohen is a low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 candidate in PPR formats.

Bears | Tarik Cohen wants to make plays

Sat, 24 Feb 2018 19:27:36 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen said he can do "the same kinds of things" as Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill, and he feels he will develop into a playmaker under offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.

Fantasy Tip: Nagy was the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs last year, so if there's anyone who should be able to maximize Cohen's speed and versatility, it's Nagy. Cohen flashed at times in 2017, and he projects as a RB4 with upside, especially in PPR formats, heading into next season.
