Saints | Alvin Kamara goes to locker room

Thu, 07 Dec 2017 17:47:19 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (head) was taken to the locker room in the first quarter of the team's Week 14 game Thursday, Dec. 7, against the Atlanta Falcons, and he's being evaluated for a concussion.

Fantasy Tip: Uh oh. The fantasy playoffs could not have gotten out to a worse start for Kamara owners, as the rookie sensation totaled only four touches before having to exit thanks to a helmet-to-helmet hit. Needless to say, Mark Ingram will benefit a big amount as long as he's out, but hopefully Kamara is able to return to the ballgame as soon as possible.

Saints | Alvin Kamara already in exclusive company

Wed, 29 Nov 2017 18:43:25 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara became the first player since retired RB Herschel Walker in 1986 to record 500 receiving yards and 500 rushing yards in his first 11 career games after his performance in Week 12 on Sunday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Kamara has truly been doing it all for fantasy owners in his rookie season, averaging a whopping 7.1 yards per carry, while also registering 10.1 yards per reception. In all, he's piled up 546 yards on the ground and 548 yards through the air, totaling nine touchdowns (five rushing, four receiving) in the process. Hopefully he can keep up this notable production to cap off what has been a special first year in the NFL.

Saints | New Orleans running backs tearing it up

Tue, 14 Nov 2017 19:19:38 -0800

New Orleans RBs Mark Ingram (569) and Alvin Kamara (560) rank second and third, respectively, in the league in yards from scrimmage in the five games since Adrian Peterson was traded to the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: Furthermore, Ingram's 502 rushing yards ranks first in the league, while his seven rushing touchdowns over the last five weeks are more than two times as many as any other back in the NFL not named Ezekiel Elliott (five). Kamara (three) is tied with the likes of Todd Gurley for third place. Over that same time, the rookie trails only Chris Thompson for the most receiving yards by a running back (226).

Saints | Alvin Kamara posts 106 yards, TD

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 16:18:50 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara rushed 12 times for 106 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills and he added five receptions for 32 yards on his five targets.

Fantasy Tip: Kamara has had a pair of giant performances over the past two outings, but Mark Ingram still went for 131 yards and three touchdowns in this one. As long as Ingram is healthy, Kamara's ceiling is slightly limited. Still, both have emerged must-start fantasy options heading into Week 11 against the Redskins, although you can expect a backslide. It's inevitable.
