Jets | Robby Anderson to report on time

Wed, 25 Jul 2018 11:14:51 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson will report for training camp with the veterans Thursday, July 26, even though he could still be disciplined by the NFL for his off-field issues.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson should be the top receiver for the Jets this season but could miss a game or two depending on what the NFL decides on his case. He is coming off a solid 2017 season and has the chance to post similar numbers. Anderson can be considered a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Jets | Robby Anderson poised for big year?

Thu, 19 Jul 2018 18:39:31 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson is set to "explode" and become a "more complete player" in 2018, according to wide receivers coach Karl Dorrell.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson could be facing punishment for some issues off the field, but after nearly reaching 1,000 yards last year and flashing big-play potential, he is worth a look as a WR3.

Jets | Offense needs Robby Anderson

Fri, 06 Jul 2018 19:41:46 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson brings "a unique dimension to the offense," according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, and Cimini believes Anderson could develop into a "true No. 1 receiver" this year.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson nearly reached 1,000 receiving yards last year and scored seven times. He again looks like the best weapon in the passing game, and if he can just duplicate his 2017 numbers, he can be a useful WR3.

Jets | Robby Anderson pleads no contest

Thu, 21 Jun 2018 10:06:07 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson pleaded no contest Thursday, June 21, to a reckless driving charge from an arrest in January. He was sentenced to six months of non-reporting probation.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson and the Jets can now focus on the offseason. The Jets need Anderson to stay healthy and to stay out of trouble as he is their most talented wide receiver. Everyone on the Jets has limited fantasy value, but Anderson is worth a late-round selection given his upside.

Jets | Robby Anderson does not expect suspension

Wed, 13 Jun 2018 15:14:50 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson said he does not expect to be suspended by the NFL for his off-field issues. He is still facing a misdemeanor reckless driving charge in one case, but the charges in the other case have been dropped.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation to see if Anderson will have to miss any time because of his off-field problems. He is coming off a solid 2017 season and probably will be the Jets' top receiver. He can be a No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

Jets | Robby Anderson to have charge dismissed

Wed, 16 May 2018 23:13:56 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson will have a felony charge for resisting arrest with violence dismissed on Thursday, May 17, according to Anderson's attorney. This was the last of four felony charges remaining, and Anderson now faces only a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving from that arrest.

Fantasy Tip: This is good news for Anderson, whose career appeared to be in serious jeopardy following the 2017 arrest. He could still be suspended, but Anderson is now likely to stick with the Jets and could be a legitimate No. 3 fantasy receiver this year.

Jets | Arrest warrant for Robby Anderson

Wed, 02 May 2018 23:49:38 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson failed to appear at an arraignment on a previous reckless-driving charge Wednesday, May 2, and a warrant for his arrest was subsequently issued.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson's attorney claimed the incident was due to a "clerical error," and that they'll straighten it out on Thursday, but this is a bad look for Anderson, who had a bevy of charges dismissed and then still failed to show up for the arraignment. The Jets have balked at releasing him, but you have to believe a suspension is in Anderson's future at the very least. All that being said, if the Jets keep him Anderson could warrant a late-round stash.
