Jets | Robby Anderson not done with Jets

Thu, 08 Feb 2018 09:22:39 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson will not be released despite his off-field issues, which most recently consist of a recent arrest for several charges, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. He is just 24 years old and will "only" cost $630,000 in 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson's talent is evident, but his off-field struggles and injury history make him a big risk, both in real life and in the fantasy world. Assuming he remains New York's No. 1 wide receiver, can stay healthy and stay out of more trouble, he's worth a late-round flier in 2018.

Jets | Robby Anderson arrested

Fri, 19 Jan 2018 13:49:40 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson was arrested in Florida Friday, Jan. 19, and is facing nine charges including reckless driving, eluding police, resisting arrest and harm to a public servant or family member.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson likely will be facing a suspension from the NFL since he has been arrested twice in the last eight months. It is not known if he will stay with the Jets, so owners should monitor the situation. He played well this season but will be a risky option for owners next season because of the possible suspension.

Jets | Robby Anderson is good to go

Fri, 29 Dec 2017 15:15:16 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (illness) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 29, and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 17 game with the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson is working with Bryce Petty now, instead of Josh McCown, so that hurts his fantasy appeal somewhat. But he'll end the regular season as a decent WR3 or flex fantasy option.

Jets | Robby Anderson returns to practice Thursday

Thu, 28 Dec 2017 15:58:36 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (illness) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 28, and was a limited participant.

Fantasy Tip: He missed practice on Wednesday but it looks like the Jets' No. 1 wide-out will be fine for Sunday's season finale. With Jermaine Kearse (ankle) looking like he's going to sit, Anderson could end up being a target monster, especially if New York is getting beaten down as expected by the Patriots. Thus, he figures to be a worthy WR3 for pretty much any format.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson continues to be the main target in the team's passing game but has gone four straight games without a touchdown. He will be facing an improved New England Patriots defense in Week 17 and may only be a flex option for some owners.

Jets | Robby Anderson practices in full Thursday

Thu, 21 Dec 2017 16:21:49 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (hamstring, hip) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the downgrade at quarterback with Bryce Petty under center, Anderson is still a serviceable WR3 to consider using in any format. While he's cooled off from his hot run that saw him produce at least one score in five consecutive ballgames entering December, the second-year wide-out still has useful potential, as evident in the season-high-tying 12 targets he saw from Petty last week.
