Jets | Robby Anderson so-so in loss

Sun, 17 Dec 2017 18:00:45 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson posted five receptions for 40 yards on 12 targets in Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Tip: New QB Bryce Petty knows where his bread is supposed to be buttered, trying to get it to Anderson early and often, but they were just unable to jell in their first game working together. This is why the loss of Josh McCown (hand) means a downgrade for Anderson in terms of fantasy value.

Jets | Robby Anderson ready to go

Fri, 15 Dec 2017 13:36:41 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (hamstring) was able to take part in a full practice session Friday, Dec. 15, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 15 game with the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson has emerged as a must-start fantasy option this season, although he should be treated more as a low-end WR2 or WR3, as he'll be catching his passes from Bryce Petty and not Josh McCown (hand). A dropoff is expected as he jells with a new signal caller.

New York Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson (non-injury related) has been ruled out for Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints. RB Matt Forte (knee) did not practice, either, and he is listed as questionable, but OG Brian Winters (abdomen, ankle) is also questionable after a limited session. WR Robby Anderson (hamstring), LB Bruce Carter (groin), OG James Carpenter (knee), CB Morris Claiborne (foot), LS Thomas Hennessy (concussion), LB Jordan Jenkins (shoulder), WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder), RB Elijah McGuire (ankle), DT Steve McLendon (hip), S Rontez Miles (hamstring) and CB Rashard Robinson (undisclosed) were able to practice in full and were removed from the injury report.

Jets | Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse full go

Thu, 14 Dec 2017 13:10:33 -0800

New York Jets WRs Robby Anderson (hamstring) and Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: The loss of Josh McCown is a substantial one for both Anderson and Kearse. It is now up to Bryce Petty to lead the Jets against arguably the most improved defense in the NFL in the New Orleans Saints. Anders is now a low-end WR2 or flex candidate while Kearse is more of a deep flex.

Jets | Robby Anderson practices in full

Wed, 13 Dec 2017 14:36:31 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (hamstring) was able to practice in full Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson took a big step back in Denver last week, posting just three grabs for 27 yards, his worst yardage total since Oct. 8. It was a team failure, however, as Josh McCown was hurt and the team scored zero points. He had emerged as a solid WR2 in most fantasy formats, but he is more of a WR3 with Bryce Petty at the helm now.

Jets | Robby Anderson shut down

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 19:29:50 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson caught three passes on six targets for 27 yards in a 23-0 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: It was a terrible offensive showing for the Jets, and Anderson's pitiful outing was actually enough to lead the team in receiving. To make matters worse, Josh McCown suffered a broken hand, and Anderson's value likely plummets if McCown misses time.

Jets | Robby Anderson off injury report

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 15:38:23 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (hamstring) practiced fully Friday, Dec. 8, and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 14 game against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson has emerged as a must-start fantasy option this season, even when facing a solid Broncos pass defense. Denver has allowed just 203.6 yards per game through the air, fourth in the NFL, but they have also yielded 26 passing touchdowns which is most in the NFL.

New York Jets LB Bruce Carter (groin) did not practice Friday, Dec. 8, and he has been ruled out for Week 14 against the Denver Broncos. RB Matt Forte (knee) did not practice, either, and he is listed as questionable, while LB Demario Davis (non-injury related) did not practice and is off the report. OG Brian Winters (abdomen, ankle) practiced on a limited basis and is listed as questionable. WR Robby Anderson (hamstring), S Terrence Brooks (non-injury related), CB Juston Burris (knee), OG James Carpenter (knee), DL Xavier Cooper (knee), WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) and RB Bilal Powell (hamstring) each practiced in full and have been removed from the injury report.

Jets | Robby Anderson practices in full Friday

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 10:03:55 -0800

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Friday, Dec. 8, and will suit up in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta reports Anderson's hamstring issue was never anything serious, but it doesn't change the fact he has a difficult matchup awaiting him. Anderson is on quite a roll with at least 100 yards receiving and/or a touchdown in five straight games, but that should come to an end versus Denver. Given the Broncos' inability to defend tight ends for most of the season, Austin Seferian-Jenkins figures to be the busiest Jet pass-catcher this weekend.
