Redskins | Quiet night for Byron Marshall

Thu, 23 Nov 2017 20:57:06 -0800

Washington Redskins RB Byron Marshall rushed four times for 18 yards and caught one pass for 12 yards in a 20-10 win over the New York Giants Thursday, Nov. 23.

Fantasy Tip: For those hoping Marshall would fill the role that Chris Thompson occupied, it's time to dial back expectations. It looks like Samaje Perine is the only Washington back worth playing right now.

Eagles | Byron Marshall to see expanded role

Wed, 28 Dec 2016 22:43:29 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles RB Byron Marshall should see an expanded role in the regular season finale against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall and Darren Sproles are the only healthy backs on the roster. Marshall is an especially solid sleeper in DFS leagues for the finale.

Eagles | Doug Pederson confident in Byron Marshall

Sat, 17 Dec 2016 17:37:02 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles RB Byron Marshall will be able to handle whatever workload he is given, head coach Doug Pederson said, but Pederson said it is hard to gauge what role Marshall will have until the game starts to unfold.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall should benefit from Darren Sproles' absence, but he is still just a shot-in-the-dark sleeper in DFS formats in Week 15.

Eagles | Duo to fill Darren Sproles' roles in Week 15

Fri, 16 Dec 2016 10:36:11 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles RBs Kenjon Barner and Byron Marshall will share the passing-down/breather-back roles in Week 15 versus the Baltimore Ravens left behind by Darren Sproles, who has been ruled out.

Fantasy Tip: Head coach Doug Pederson said Barner will return punts as well. Neither back is worth a look in fantasy, although Philadelphia likely has no prayer of establishing the run with Ryan Mathews against Baltimore's stout rush defense. Expect another 50 pass attempts from Carson Wentz, with the majority of those passes headed in the direction of Jordan Matthews, Zach Ertz and Trey Burton.
