Browns | Malcolm Johnson to play a lot

Mon, 10 Aug 2015 15:01:36 -0700

Cleveland Browns FB Malcolm Johnson appears slated for a similar role to what RB Marcel Reece played under current offensive coordinator John DeFilippo with the Oakland Raiders. Johnson is "going to play a lot of football for us," according to a Browns source. The source called Johnson "versatile" with "good hands." Johnson played in practice frequently and caught passes out of the backfield.

Fantasy Tip: With nobody really standing out in Cleveland's backfield so far in training camp, perhaps Johnson does see a significant role for the Browns and becomes fantasy-relevant. Until we see him make an impact in preseason games, though, he'll just be a deep sleeper as a name to watch for fantasy owners.
