Raiders | Ankle injury for Amari Cooper

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 11:54:03 -0800

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in Week 14 and is considered questionable to return.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper entered the game with an ankle injury, but it is not known if this is the same ankle that was previously injured. Cooper has struggled at times this season and is only a No. 3 receiver at this point.

Raiders | Amari Cooper active for Week 14

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 08:27:59 -0800

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) is active for Week 14's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper had an impressive showing upon his return to practice Friday, Dec. 8, but will be a risky fantasy option this afternoon because of an ankle that is still less than 100 percent. Even when healthy, he has been a major disappointment this season and is not worth starting outside of deeper seasonal leagues.

Raiders | Amari Cooper hopeful of playing Sunday

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 06:58:19 -0800

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) is likely to play in Week 14's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, although he will test the ankle during pregame warmups before a final decision is made.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper was listed as questionable on the injury report and was able to return to practice on a limited basis Friday, Dec. 8. He has not played in several weeks and is too much of a risk to start in most fantasy leagues even if he is cleared to play.

Raiders | Oakland hoping Amari Cooper plays

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 18:10:33 -0800

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) looked pretty good during a limited practice appearance Friday, Dec. 8, according to coaches, and the Raiders are holding out hope that Cooper can play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper has had almost no practice over the last couple of weeks, and with an ankle that is less than 100 percent, he is too risky to start if he is able to play.

Raiders | Amari Cooper questionable for Week 14

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 13:56:27 -0800

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) was able to practice on a limited basis Friday, Dec. 8, and he is listed as questionable for Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper has missed a couple of games and might have a little bit of rust to knock off. Fantasy owners should go another way, even if he is active on Sunday, as he hasn't exactly lit the world afire when he has been healthy this season.

Raiders | Amari Cooper makes surprise appearance

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 11:47:27 -0800

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) was on the field for the start of practice Friday, Dec. 8.

Fantasy Tip: An earlier report had Cooper likely to miss Week 14. While that still may very well be the case, this news cast at least a little bit of doubt on just how much Oakland will rely on Michael Crabtree in the passing game this week. With that said, expect the Raiders to sit Cooper against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend and give him another few days to heal further.

Raiders | Amari Cooper likely to sit Week 14

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 09:49:21 -0800

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) is not expected to play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The irony here is that the one game Cooper lived up to his fantasy draft status was in Week 7 against the Chiefs. Cooper has yet to practice this week, so this is a spot in which Michael Crabtree should dominate, especially in light of Marcus Peters' suspension. Given the state of the Kansas City defense, however, it is just as likely Oakland runs its offense through Marshawn Lynch.

Raiders | No practice for Amari Cooper

Thu, 07 Dec 2017 12:06:53 -0800

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Cooper may be out of the concussion protocol, but he is still dealing with a nagging ankle injury. He's heading for the wrong side of questionable, which would lead the way for Michael Crabtree to have a big game in a tasty matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. Cooper's practice status tomorrow will be key.

Raiders | Amari Cooper clears concussion protocol

Wed, 06 Dec 2017 17:27:43 -0800

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (concussion, ankle) cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, but still did not return to practice Wednesday, Dec. 6, due to his ankle injury.

Fantasy Tip: It's a step in the right direction but Cooper's lack of practice time could have him trending in the direction of being inactive again, so his owners will have to follow his situation closely throughout the rest of the week. If the former first-round draft pick ends up sitting, Michael Crabtree gets a boost in his first game back from suspension, while Seth Roberts and Johnny Holton should also merit consideration in deep formats.
