Packers | Richard Rodgers steps up

Sun, 17 Dec 2017 15:30:29 -0800

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers finished with four receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown on his four targets in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers stepped up late and jelled nicely with Aaron Rodgers, who was back after a lengthy absence due to a collarbone injury. Richard Rodgers could be a sneaky low-end TE1 in deeper fantasy leagues heading into Week 16 now that he has his quarterback under center again.

Packers | Richard Rodgers blanked Monday

Mon, 28 Nov 2016 21:25:23 -0800

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers was targeted just once in the Week 12 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Nov. 28, and he did not have any receptions.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers had 14 catches over the past three games, but he was blanked here. He also hasn't had any touchdowns in eight games dating back to Week 3. Avoid him in all fantasy leagues, as Jared Cook appears to have the eye of Aaron Rodgers more so than Richard Rodgers.

Sun, 06 Nov 2016 21:11:27 -0800

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers hauled in six receptions for 64 yards on 10 targets in the Week 9 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers had his finest game by far, as he entered with just nine grabs for 84 yards and a touchdown in his previous seven outings. Wait to see him do this at least one more time before trusting him in fantasy leagues again.

Packers | Richard Rodgers trimmed down

Fri, 29 Jul 2016 21:16:05 -0700

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers weighed in at 258 pounds for the start of training camp after playing at 275 pounds last year, and he said his lighter frame makes it easier for him to come in and out of his breaks at the same speed.

Fantasy Tip: The return of Jordy Nelson and the addition of Jared Cook will make it tough for Rodgers to duplicate his 58-catch performance from last year. Don't expect him to be a starting-caliber fantasy tight end.

Packers | Richard Rodgers starter over Jared Cook?

Thu, 21 Jul 2016 16:44:40 -0700

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers is expected to start over TE Jared Cook, not just in 2016, but for the next few seasons, according to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. An advantage Rodgers has this season is that he is in better shape after weighing up to 272 pounds last year.

Fantasy Tip: The tight end position has been fairly underwhelming in Green Bay for a few years now. Rodgers and Cook could very well play as a committee together when all is said and done. Neither should be drafted as a starting fantasy tight end.

Packers | Richard Rodgers embracing Jared Cook

Sat, 02 Jul 2016 18:05:58 -0700

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers said he is working to improve as an all-around player, and he views the addition of TE Jared Cook as an opportunity to learn from a veteran.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers caught eight touchdowns last year, but a healthy Jordy Nelson will push him down the pecking order in the passing game. At best, he is a backup fantasy tight end.
