Dolphins | Miami looking to trade Jarvis Landry?

Tue, 20 Feb 2018 20:04:17 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry received the non-exclusive franchise tag Tuesday, Feb. 20 - the first day teams could assign the franchise tag to players - which is being interpreted as a desire by the Dolphins to trade him, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: This seems like a likely scenario considering Miami has had over a year to sign Landry to a long-term deal and not been overly aggressive in doing so. A trade would probably be the best thing for Landry, who is coming off a season in which he led the league with 112 catches and caught a career-high nine touchdowns but did so averaging a meager 8.8 yards per reception. Look for the trade talk to heat up at the NFL Combine at the end of next week.

Dolphins | Miami places franchise tag on Jarvis Landry

Tue, 20 Feb 2018 17:20:06 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry received the non-exclusive franchise tag Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Fantasy Tip: The non-exclusive franchise tag means Landry will have the opportunity to negotiate with other teams and sign an offer sheet, but Miami has the right to match any offer or receive two first-round picks as compensation if it chooses not to match. This move goes against the year-long rhetoric that the Dolphins were willing to let Landry walk and build around DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills. Regardless of what happens moving forward, Landry has proven himself to be a capable fantasy WR2 at the very least.

Raiders | Oakland eyeing Jarvis Landry?

Sun, 11 Feb 2018 20:14:21 -0800

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr formed a connection with Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry at the Pro Bowl, and Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com believes head coach Jon Gruden could push the front office to pursue Landry.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is coming off a career-high 112 receptions, and he is averaging 100 catches per year through his first four seasons. He'll be a WR1 candidate in PPR formats no matter he signs.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry contract talks going slowly

Thu, 25 Jan 2018 11:31:12 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry said contract negotiations are moving along, but slowly. Landry said he's not worried about the negotiation process and will let it take care of itself, adding that he would love to stay with the Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is headed for a big payday either way and could be one of the top 5-10 paid wide receivers in the NFL when all is said and done. The reliable pass-catcher will be a solid PPR WR1 candidate wherever he suits up.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry may have price range

Wed, 24 Jan 2018 12:53:31 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry has a better chance of being re-signed if his asking price is around $11-12 million per year. If the asking price is more around $14-15 million then he could very well be on a different team next season, in the opinion of The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

Fantasy Tip: The latter price range would make Landry one of the top 5-7 paid wide receivers in the NFL. In a relatively shallow wide receiver market Landry will be offered a significant chunk of dough. Either way, He's a PPR WR1 candidate again this year, as mentioned earlier.

Dolphins | Miami mum on Jarvis Landry

Wed, 24 Jan 2018 12:00:17 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry is set to hit the free-agent market this offseason. The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero pointed out that the Dolphins have not once said they would like to re-sign Landry. Last year Miami repeatedly declared they wanted to bring back WR Kenny Stills when he was a free agent.

Fantasy Tip: Not much should be read into this, but Landry is one of the top free-agent wide receivers on the market and the Dolphins' most consistent pass-catcher by a wide margin. No matter where he plays in 2018, Landry has WR1 upside with more value in PPR leagues.

Ravens | BAL could renew Jarvis Landry interest

Wed, 24 Jan 2018 07:03:34 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry could strike renewed interest from the Baltimore Ravens, who inquired about his availability last offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Landry posted career highs with 112 receptions and nine touchdowns but a career-low 8.8 yards per catch as he had just 987 receiving yards. Landry should be a WR2 in next year's drafts regardless of the jersey he dons.

Dolphins | No hometown discount for Jarvis Landry

Wed, 17 Jan 2018 20:51:17 -0800

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry does not plan on taking any sort of hometown discount, according to his agent, Damarius Bilbo. "Absolutely not," said Bilbo when asked about the issue. "This may be Jarvis' first and last time to set himself up and his family up. He needs to strike and strike while the iron is hot." Bilbo also mentioned that he is waiting on the Dolphins to respond to his contract proposal.

Fantasy Tip: Landry is looking to garner big money, and rightfully so after yet another productive season in his fourth year with the Dolphins. Although he finished short of the 1,000-yard plateau for the first time since his rookie campaign, Landry did manage to record career bests with 112 receptions and nine touchdowns. He also continued his iron man streak, having played in all 64 games since being drafted. The 25-year-old will enter next year as a WR2 with a high ceiling.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry seeking Davante Adams money

Wed, 17 Jan 2018 08:26:14 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Jarvis Landry is believed to be seeking a contract similar to the one Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams received. Adams signed a four-year, $58 million deal with $32 million guaranteed.

Fantasy Tip: Landry was really underrated this season and was overshadowed by DeVante Parker's potential breakout that never came. Landry posted career highs with 112 receptions and nine touchdowns but a career-low 8.8 yards per catch as he had just 987 receiving yards. Landry should be a WR2 in next year's drafts.
