Jaguars | Austin Seferian-Jenkins locked in as starter

Mon, 20 Aug 2018 23:46:04 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins is "clearly locked in as the starting tight end," according to Mike Kaye of FirstCoastNews.com.

Fantasy Tip: Although we haven't seen Seferian-Jenkins yet in preseason action, it's possible he provides useful value in fantasy leagues this year. He's always had talent, with injuries and off-the-field issues preventing him from becoming something significant. In a Jacksonville offense looking for pass-catching options to regularly lean on, Seferian-Jenkins could make a notable impact.

Jaguars | Austin Seferian-Jenkins generating buzz

Fri, 22 Jun 2018 09:41:47 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins was constantly open during non-contact practices and made impressive catch after impressive catch, according to Mike Kaye of FirstCoastNews.com.

Fantasy Tip: Per Fantasy Football Calculator, Seferian-Jenkins is the 17th tight end coming off the board with an ADP of 14.01. That's too low even if he does little more than match what he did last year as an underutilized and somewhat misused piece in the New York Jets' offense. The 25-year-old is one of the better bets to finish as a fantasy TE1 that isn't already going inside the top 12 at his position.

Jaguars | Big role for Austin Seferian-Jenkins?

Thu, 14 Jun 2018 18:17:10 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins has been "awesome" during OTAs, according to QB Blake Bortles, and John Oehser of Jaguars.com expects Seferian-Jenkins to be an "integral part" of the offense in 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Jacksonville has been searching for a threat in the red zone, and Seferian-Jenkins could be the answer. He has low-end TE1 upside and should be available at a TE2 price.

Jaguars | Jacksonville lands Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Thu, 15 Mar 2018 13:34:23 -0700

Free-agent TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (Jets) agreed to terms on an undisclosed contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, March 15.

Fantasy Tip: Seferian-Jenkins enjoyed a breakout year with the New York Jets last season and will presumably attempt to become the threat over the middle of the field they hoped to get from Julius Thomas. It's not the best landing spot for his fantasy upside, but the fact he can catch and block should keep him on the field enough to be a low-end TE1 in fantasy.

Jaguars | Austin Seferian-Jenkins to meet with JAX

Wed, 14 Mar 2018 11:13:51 -0700

New York Jets impending free-agent TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins said he plans to meet with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars have not received a lot of production from their tight end position, so Seferian-Jenkins would help the passing game if he joins the Jaguars. He probably will be a No. 2 fantasy tight end in most leagues but has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 tight end against certain matchups.

Seahawks | Austin Seferian-Jenkins visiting Seattle

Wed, 14 Mar 2018 10:15:27 -0700

Free-agent TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (Jets) will make his first visit to the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: ASJ outperformed expectations with the New York Jets despite missing three games. He would likely start immediately with Seattle with Jimmy Graham gone, although Nick Vannett and Luke Willson (if he is retained) would limit ASJ's upside. If he does join Seattle, consider him a low-end TE1 to high-end TE1.

Jets | Austin Seferian-Jenkins likely leaving NY

Mon, 12 Mar 2018 21:18:55 -0700

New York Jets impending free-agent TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins "appears headed to the open market," a source told Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. The two sides aren't close to an agreement and it is therefore "highly unlikely" that he returns to the club, according to the source.

Fantasy Tip: Seferian-Jenkins put up decent numbers while playing all but three games this past seaso, registering 50 receptions for 357 yards to place third on the team in each category. He also scored three touchdowns. The former Buccaneer is capable of more than that, though, so his eventual landing spot should be of interest to fantasy owners. He has low-end TE1 potential based on where he ends up.

Jets | NYJ firm on Austin Seferian-Jenkins offer

Mon, 12 Mar 2018 10:30:01 -0700

The New York Jets reportedly "haven't budged" from their two-year contract offer worth $8 million to impending free-agent Austin Seferian-Jenkins, according to The Athletic's Connor Hughes.

Fantasy Tip: It's probably not going to be enough to keep the 25-year-old tight end around despite his checkered past, in part because he seems to have put his off-field demons behind him. Seferian-Jenkins enjoyed a breakout season in 2017, and it has been reported the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons are among the teams that could be interested in prying him out of New York. He should be able to muster low-end TE1 fantasy production in either one of those spots should he leave the Jets.

Jets | Three teams eying Austin Seferian-Jenkins?

Sun, 11 Mar 2018 14:44:47 -0700

The New York Jets "very much wants to retain" impending free-agent TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, but there will be of plenty of competition for his services, as the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons are among the teams expected to pursue him, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

Fantasy Tip: With quarterback a question mark in New York and Austin Hooper still in Atlanta, Seferian-Jenkins may best off Seattle, where he could be a worthy replacement for Jimmy Graham. An ascending young talent who appears to be passed his off-field demons and won't turn 26 until after the start of next season, Seferian-Jenkins should have a robust market for his services and would be in the TE1 discussion if he stays in New York or bolts for Seattle.
