Vikings | Latavius Murray struggles

Sat, 18 Aug 2018 14:00:45 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed for 12 yards on six carries during the preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Saturday, Aug. 18. He also fumbled the ball twice during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Murray will serve as the No. 2 running back for the Vikings this season and probably will only see limited touches each week. He could a handcuff to Dalvin Cook in some leagues but likely will be a No. 4 running back on most rosters.

Thu, 15 Mar 2018 18:33:47 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray has agreed to restructure his contract and will remain with the team, according to sources.

Vikings | Latavius Murray may be in danger

Thu, 15 Mar 2018 17:26:49 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray could be released if he does not agree to restructure his contract. His $5.15 million salary for 2018 will become guaranteed if he is on the roster Friday, March 16.

Fantasy Tip: Murray is coming off a solid 2017 season where he rushed for 842 yards and eight touchdowns, but he probably will lose touches with Dalvin Cook returning from injury. He would receive interest if he becomes available in free agency but likely will be part of a committee no matter where he plays. He can be a No. 3 fantasy running back in 2018 depending on his role.

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed six times for 18 yards and caught two passes for 11 yards in a 38-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game.

Fantasy Tip: It was a forgettable end to what turned out to be a solid season for Murray. However, Dalvin Cook is in line to return in 2018, so Murray will likely be no more than a handcuff.

Vikings | Latavius Murray bottled up in Carolina

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 14:18:40 -0800

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray ran nine times for just 14 yards in Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers and he added two grabs for six yards on his two targets.

Fantasy Tip: Murray had been gobbling up huge chunks of real estate in the past few weeks, averaging 4.0 yards or better per carry in each of his past four games with four rushing touchdowns. He struggled against the stout Panthers rush defense, however. He'll try and rebound in Week 15 against the visiting Bengals.
